A group of the Indian Rajput clan, Rawa Rajputs (or Rava) are categorized high caste rajputs as its members claim descendancy from different ancestors and dynasties. They are associated with another 6 of the 36 Rajput clans: the Gahlot, Kushwaha, Tanwar, Yadu, Chauhan and Panwar. Most members add the title Singh & Verma and Rajput to their surname; others who belong the Chandar Vans, identify themselves with the names Tanvar, or Mogha. The "Mogha" are descendents of great Rajput King "Amoghpal Singh Tanwar". The clan also subdivides into castes on the basis of social acceptance.

Rawa Rajputs are decedent of warriors who fought with Mugals under leadership of Maharana Pratap. Rawa Rajputs never embraced Islam despite many atrocities done by Muslim Kings. There is not even a single Rawa Rajput who is Muslim. Rawa Rajputs always protected their dignity with their sword and blood.

Rajputs were an historical warrior clan of Rajasthan whose descendants have migrated widely throughout other Indian states, particularly to Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Uttarakhand and Madhya Pradesh, and to Delhi and southern Indian cities. Rawa Rajputs in New Delhi are concentrated in its parts that were once independent villages: Naraina, Sagarpur, Khampur, Basai Darapur, Titarpur, Nangal, Palla and Wazirpur, . Other concentrations occur in the district of Bijnor, U.P. (87 villages), Khatauli in Muzzafarnagar, U.P. (27 villages), Meerut, U.P. (3 villages), the Baghpat, U.P. district of Western Uttar Pradesh (24 villages), and the Saharanpur District.
